i would take not get before orange jersey. because it is an orange dress and orange dress, no other major in it. I think this is way too much or the same color!
white shirts always look good. that is good with an orange tie looks like.
If you are still unsure, go to the store with him .. and someone else ((just try to get another opinoin)) and different colors and such.
Try the orange with a white shirt, but it would be even better if he tries orange shirt with white tie! Watch for photos online to get a better idea:)

I do not know what type of orange is, but maybe a brown shirt, orange tie? I agree that white would be stupid ... You can use a turquoise shirt and orange tie?
