The Eye Surgery Institute Just Purchased I Need Help Solving This Math Problem..?

I need help solving this math problem..? - the eye surgery institute just purchased

Eye surgery institute just purchased a new laser machine for 500,000 U.S. dollars for use in eye surgery. The Institute should pay the inventor $ 550 each time the machine is used. If the Institute charges $ 2,000 for each laser surgery, the minimal number of operations has to be there, preformed at the Institute to make a profit?

How do I solve this problem? Please help.

    Let x = number of operations

    2000x - 550x> 500,000
    1450x> 500,000
    x> 344.8

    It must begin at least 345 operations to a profit.

    Thus, for each operation of the institute until 1450 (is 2000 - 550)

    to 500 000 / 1450 = 344.82,

    So we can say 345 times after the start of the Institute receive the benefit.
